Disneyland Ticket Sales Open for Mobile Order
Magical Disney friends and untrue believers, the day has finally arrived! The Happiest Place on Earth – Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California – are set to re-open on April 30th, 2021, after a yearlong closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And today, Thursday, April, 15th, 2021, the reservation system for Resort tickets went live at 8 AM PST.
Although the virtual queue is still two-plus hours long, you can get in line for your tickets today! And personally, I’m excited for this reduced capacity experience! Take advantage!
Disneyland Resort Reopening!
The Disneyland Resort is taking “enhanced health and safety measures” upon reopening, promising a limited (yet inclusive) capacity experience to help guests and cast members stay safe in light of ongoing concerns. Thus, at the moment, the park reservation system is only available to California residents, and in groups no larger than 3 households, according to the State’s theme park guidelines.
Additionally, the Anaheim theme park is requiring all guests over the age of 3 to make a reservation to enter, in addition to having a ticket.
Disney is telling future guests that the magic will still be on full blast at the Resort despite the changes, and if anyone can do it, its the Mouse. However, some attractions and amenities will remain closed until a later date (check out the tweet below).
As we gear up for the reopening of #Disneyland Resort theme parks to California Residents on April 30, we’re excited to share details about the attractions and entertainment you’ll be able to experience on your next visit. Heroes Assemble at the Anaheim Resort!
“To all who come to this happy place: Welcome.” In 1955, Walt Disney spoke these words at the dedication of the Disneyland Resort, and they still inspire fans around the world.
The Disney Parks, Experience, and Products team is stepping up their real world heroism and adding a fifth key: the key of inclusion. As a former cast member, who is excited to see their input change the culture, the inclusion key is an act of real world heroism, reminding guests and cast “that the magic we make must include everyone,” says Josh D’Amaro, Chairman Disney Parks, Experience, and Products.
Inclusion has always been an essential part of the Resort experience, and as the park continues to add to its rich legacy of storytelling through exceptional service, we can expect even more of the Marvel Model to seep into the company’s culture.
Avengers Campus Opens June 4th
Unfortunately, heroes in training won’t be able to enjoy Avengers Campus until June 4th, 2021. However, that doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to start on all things Marvel when California Adventure opens at the end of the month.
According to the list of attractions slated to open in April, guests will still be able to meet some of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes before they permanently settle at Avengers Campus:
Throughout the day in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure park, cheer for some of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Black Widow, Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man, Black Panther and the Dora Milaje, as they strike heroic poses from the Hollywood Backlot Stage.
If the Marvel-themed hotel in Disneyland Paris is any indicator of what’s coming to Avengers Campus, then it will send our minds spinning through the Marvel Multiverse once it opens.
