RUMOR: Is ‘Eternals 2’ on the Way?
Well, Marvel Blog True Believers, the first Eternals movie has yet to arrive in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there are already rumors of a sequel circulating! Is it possible that Eternals 2 is already on the way?

According to an article from The Direct, the source of the rumor is John Campea’s movie-themed YouTube show. Apparently, Campea, has spoken to an “inside source” who has confirmed that Eternals 2 is on the way – as well as Avengers 5! The source states that the reason we haven’t heard about these planned movies is simple: there’s just too many upcoming MCU movies, and Marvel Studios doesn’t want to overwhelm audiences.
While this isn’t out of the realm of possibility, we do have one thing to say, Marvel historically has not shied away from very long lists! Look at this checklist from the back of War of the Bounty Hunters Alpha!

Eternals has been a long time coming, having originally been scheduled for release in November 2020, but then subsequently delayed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, it’s scheduled for release on November 5th, 2021, one of four MCU movies planned for the remainder of this year.

It’s Zhao’s World, We Just Live In It
Eternals features an All-Star ensemble cast and will be directed by Chloé Zhao.

Why is everyone so excited for the first movie? For one thing, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige says that Zhao’s pitch for Eternals was “the best he’s ever heard.”
For another, Zhao was recently awarded the Academy Award for Best Director, so you have to expect that this MCU movie is going to be something special, and if she ends up being tapped for Eternals 2, well, you won’t hear us complaining!

Incoming Eternals 2
While we’ve been waiting for Eternals for quite a long time, we only recently got our first look at footage from the movie.
