On WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, you will have the opportunity to learn what it’s like to sling webs and have super powers with the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man of your dreams – that’s Tom Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but we love all of our Spideys at Marvel Blog.

Yesterday, the Disney Parks Blog gave fans an inside look at the new attraction to get all of our web-fluids flowing (and if you don’t know what I’m referring to, it’s time to re-watch Sam Raimi‘s Spider-Man (2002)… again).

WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure
The Avengers Campus opened today, along with a new ride, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure.

On the attraction, Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

“At the Worldwide Engineering Brigade – also known as WEB – Tony Stark has assembled young engineers who specialize in developing innovative technologies to equip and empower a new generation of Super Heroes,” according to the Disney Parks Blog.

However, one young engineer’s invention – if you guessed it’s Peter Parker’s Spider-Bots, then you’re correct! – has gone awry wrecking havoc on the rest of Avengers of Campus.
The set-up is that during a WEB tech training session the Spider-Bots (which were designed to be helpful, everyday technology) get stuck in a replication loop, creating even more Spider-Bots! When the bots start self-replicating uncontrollably, Parker enlists the help of the new Avengers Campus recruits to stop the Spider-Bot Menace.

As new recruits move through the WEB SLINGERS attraction, you virtually pass through several other Campus addresses, including Pym Test Kitchen, Avengers Headquarters, the Collector’s Fortress, also home to Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, and parts of the Stark Industries Warehouse!

WEB Tech for WEB SLINGERS
The ride looks like a lot of fun, and not just for your local Spider-Man fan.
Once on the attraction, you will be donning 3D glasses (much like Toy Story Mania) as you test drive another one of Parker’s latest inventions, the WEB Slinger vehicle!

Disney is using innovative, specially designed motion-sensor technology to track recruits upper-body, head, and arm movements so that you can put your web-slinging skills to the test, just like Gamora!

If you want to show the Avengers that you mean business, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure riders can also purchase an upgrade called the WEB Power Band.

While everyone will be able to sling webs on the attraction, for the first time ever on a Disney Parks attraction, you’ll be able to customize your experience with new WEB Tech accessories. When you gear up, you’ll be able to find your OWN powers and get a different experience aboard the attraction!
WEB SLINGERS is the first Disney ride-through attraction to feature the iconic Spider-Man, and it’s only one of the many cool attractions and perks at Avengers Campus!

Avengers Campus Opens Today!
Avengers Campus is officially opening today, June 4th, 2021, to California residents. However, out-of-state visitors will be able to visit the California theme parks after June 15th, 2021.
