REVIEW: Double Your Loki with THOR & LOKI: DOUBLE TROUBLE #4
Did you get enough Loki yet today, Marvel Blog True Believers? Well, to be honest… neither did I! That’s why I picked up Thor & Loki: Double Trouble #4 by Mariko Tamaki, Gurihiru, and Ariana Maher. This concluding issue brings the Double Trouble tale to an end, and it does it in the most satisfying way possible: with extra Loki!
One Too Many Thors
In Thor & Loki: Double Trouble #3, we got to see what happens when Asgardian brothers Loki and Thor traveled to another dimension and met another Thor. First, shout-out to the two-page splash that occurs early on in the narrative, showing Thor, Thor, and Loki searching for the location of the orb.
Gurihiru always delivers incredible art, but these pages are especially arresting.
Plus, the dynamic between the two Thors, who are both very pleased with themselves for being Thor (typical Thor), is hysterical.
Not Enough Loki
But the issue really picks up when the second Loki arrives! Soon, the two Lokis are at odds with one another, leading to a hilarious face-off.
Naturally, this is bound to call Loki to mind, and frankly… That’s fine with me! It seems like we had to wait a little bit of extra time for this issue to arrive, but I suspect that’s because its content pairs so well with today’s episode of Loki, now streaming on Disney+!
Thor & Loki: Double Trouble
Sadly, this is the final issue of Thor & Loki: Double Trouble! Did you get a chance to pick up this series as it was released issue-by-issue at your local comic shop? Conversely, are you planning on getting a copy of the trade paperback (TPB) that will collect all four issues when it is released, or do you plan to check it out when it arrives on the Marvel Unlimited App?
We’re waiting to hear from you, Marvel Blog True Believers! Let us know what you’re thinking in the comment section.
