CAP’s SHIELD: Get That Man a Bricker Build!
Do you want to build your very own Captain America shield, just like the one created by Howard Stark and wielded by Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Thanks to Bricker Builds, you can make your own version of the titular shield – only it won’t be made of vibranium, it will be made of construction toy bricks (not included)!
Cap’s Shield Build
Here’s how it works: for $30, you purchase the build instructions for Cap’s shield from Bricker Builds, which is designed by a 3D model artist and then transformed into accurate life-sized brick model using the company’s unique Bricklink Studio.
The instructions teach you how to build your own shield. Ultimately, the build will include 2,904 parts and measure twenty-four inches in diameter when completed.
Included with the instructions you download will be a list of parts, which you can use to order the parts you’ll need to make your own shield. In addition to a list of the bricks that you’ll need, there are also recommendations for affordable and functional straps, since we assume you’ll want to pose with this beauty once its built!
If you want to know the specifics of how you can make your own Bricker Build Cap shield, check out this tutorial on YouTube, which explains exactly how you can get your instructions and order the specific parts you need to complete the build.
Shields Up
In addition to Captain America’s shield, Bricker Builds also has instructions for many other kinds of builds, including other full-sized props like Clone Trooper helmets from the Star Wars prequels, Mjolnir, aka Thor’s Hammer, for those who are worthy, and even a life-sized Eevee from Pokémon!
Will you be ordering the instructions to build Captain America’s shield from Bricker Builds? Are you hoping they introduce a brick build of Cap’s winged helmet, as well? Which Cap will you be cosplaying? We’re waiting to hear from you, Marvel Blog True Believers! Tell us what you’re thinking in the comment section.
