The Better Hawkeye
The first look photo, which was an exclusive for Entertainment Weekly’s subscription magazine, shows the first official look at Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) in the upcoming streaming series for Disney+. In the new show, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be introduced to the adaptation of Bishop, or “The Better Hawkeye” as she will soon be known to Marvel Blog True Believers, when the series premieres on Disney+ this autumn.

Meanwhile, we also get to see Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) again, as well. We are pretty familiar with Barton, who first appeared in the original Thor movie (but we’re pretty sure he isn’t a Loki Variant).
However, if you watched Black Widow, which is in theaters and available for streaming on Disney+, you know that the Better Black Widow (Florence Pugh) has Barton’s name on her hitlist! Ugh, is it November yet?

In the meantime, there are some Marvel Comics that you could consider reading on Marvel Unlimited to best prepare for the series.
First up is Hawkeye (2012), and we suggest that you don’t miss any issues in this amazing run, with a first issue s by Matt Fraction, David Aja, Matt Hollingsworth, and Chris Eliopoulos. The series introduces Lucky, A.K.A. Pizza Dog, and features Clint and Kate working side-by-side… part of the reason that we’re suspecting it will be a huge influence on the Disney+ series, Marvel Blog True Believers!
Next is Hawkeye (2016), with the first issue by Kelly Thompson, Leonardo Romero, Julian Totino Todesco, Jordie Bellaire, and Joe Sabino. This series focuses on Kate as she opens a private detective office in Southern California. We think this is more likely to inspire a second season of the series… but it also lays the foundations for a new run of West Coast Avengers, which could be an opportunity for a future Disney+ crossover series, like the big-screen Avengers or the Netflix’s Defenders.
November Bullseye
