DARKHOLD: Blade & Iron Man Tie-Ins Arrive in Autumn

In an article posted to the official Marvel website on Monday, August 2nd, 2021, details about two of the tie-in books for the upcoming Marvel Comics event were revealed! This autumn, Iron Man and Blade will each face a multiverse of madness in The Darkhold: Iron Man and The Darkhold: Blade!

A Long Time Coming

We’ve been waiting for this story of a long time, Marvel Blog True Believers – in fact, it almost feels like a lifetime! That’s because the story that kicks off all this madness, The Darkhold Alpha #1 by Steve Orlando and Cian Tormey, with a main cover (and a Scarlet Witch cover) by Greg Smallwood, was originally announced back in March 2020, to be published in June 2020, before being delayed for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fortunately, that story is finally arriving at your local comic shop on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021…

Then, in October 2021, there will be two tie-in stories that will follow it! It seems that the Darkhold event will take the form of a series of one-shots that pits our heroes against the Book of the Damned!

Arriving first, on October 13th, 2021, will be The Darkhold: Iron Man #1 by Ryan North and Guillermo Sanna, with a cover by Valerio Giangiordano.

At Marvel Blog, we already know that North is an expert Iron Man writer thanks to Tony Stark’s appearances in The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl (especially his appearances on the recap pages), so this hopefully once again funny take on Iron Man is certainly something to which we should look forward to!

A few weeks later, on October 27th, 2021, The Darkhold: Blade #1 by Daniel Kibblesmith and Federico Sabbatini, with a cover by Juan Ferreyra, will arrive.

The Book of the Damned

The Darkhold Alpha #1 arrives at your local comic shop on September 22nd, with the The Darkhold: Iron Man #1 and The Darkhold: Blade #1 arriving in October.
