Benedict Wong, who plays Wong, the extremely capable assistant to Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, received some inquiries about the filming status of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and he has some extremely scintillating information to share!
Multiverse of Scheduling Madness
According to Wong, it’s more like the Multiverse of Scheduling Madness! Apparently, the production for the film involved multiple sets and the scheduling for the film got a little wild, which allowed Wong to finally let his hair down both on and off screen… we can’t wait to see what that means, Marvel Blog True Believers!
Back in June, we shared an image of the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness cast gift: an incredibly cool comic cover featuring Strange, Wong, the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and America (Xochitl Gomez).
Speaking of Gomez, she was also on the Red Carpet last night alongside her Multiverse of Madness co-star, Wong.
Many Universes to Consider
It makes sense Multiverse of Madness would have a really busy filming schedule: not only is everyone from Loki (Tom Hiddleston) to Evil Dead’s Ashley J. Williams (Groovy Bruce Campbell) is rumored to appear in the movie, and one imagines the narrative must leap from one universe to another, and that means loads of actors, costumes, props, and sets to juggle!
Plus, does the appearance of both Gomez and Wong at the Red Carpet premiere of Shang-Chi hint at additional narrative connection between these newly arisen Marvel superheroes?
Let’s just say March 25th, 2022 – the date that Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled to arrive in theaters – cannot get here soon enough!
