Drool All Night: Marvel’s Midnight Suns Gameplay Trailer Arrives
In gameplay footage released to the website IGN, and then subsequently released on Marvel’s Midnight Suns official Twitter account, we got our first look at what Marvel’s Midnight Suns from Firaxis Games will be like to play… And it looks pretty amazing, Marvel Blog True Believers! Take a look at the SIX MINUTE “narrated gameplay walkthrough” video to see what’s in store for us when the game arrives on all major consoles (including Nintendo Switch, on which I’ll be playing) in March 2022!
Midnight Suns
As hinted at by the Marvel Blog report last week, the upcoming tactical RPG from Firaxis Games will prominently feature a new character Hunter, who you will begin the game as.

Your team includes two other heroes in addition to Hunter.
Compared to previous Marvel RPGs, the clip promises that the heroes will be highly customizable over the course of the game.

In addition to Hunter, many familiar Marvel characters will appear, representing two primary factions: the Avengers (like Iron Man, Wolverine, and Captain Marvel) and the Midnight Suns (including Magik, Nico Minoru, and Blade).

In this video, we see what playing many of the individual characters will entail, and it turns out, it will entail lots of character-specific moves!

While there are plenty of examples, I was particularly impressed with Ghost Rider, who appears to reach enormous size as he judges an opponent… it looks right out of the page of a Ghost Rider comic!

This video also shows that much of the action in the game will take the form of “card-based” battle.
We aren’t sure exactly how this card-based play style will work out yet, but it’s evident that the designers of the game are huge Marvel Comics fans who are bringing their savviness about the publisher to the title. And we couldn’t be more excited to take part in the adventure they’ve crafted when it arrives in March!
