RUMOR: The Villains of Spider-Man: No Way Home
In an article posted to The Illuminerdi on Monday, September 20th, 2021, it was speculated that additional Spider-Man 3: No Way Home villains have been spotted.
This highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe movie arrives in theaters in December 2021, but since the extremely popular YouTube teaser for the movie debuted last month, speculation has ramped up in advance of the upcoming threequel.
Sinister Six
Since the earliest days of No Way Home speculation in October 2020, people have been hoping that the movie will deliver the Sinister Six.
This team of supervillains has long been one of the biggest challenges Spider-Man has to face, with six(ish) of his enemies teaming up to take him out once and for all.
In the No Way Home teaser we’ve already seen, it confirms that both Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) and the Green Goblin (presumably Willem Dafoe, who we sort of doubt would pass up the opportunity to reprise one of his favorite roles) are returning to the Spider-Man franchise.
Additional images included in the Illuminerdi article include Jaime Foxx reprising the role of Electro and a de-aged Dafoe. At Marvel Blog, we don’t want to spoil all of the fun, so if you’re interested in getting a sneak peek at these re-imagined villains, check out our source for this piece 🙂
Plus, the article states that images of both the Lizard (who some have speculated appears in the background of the teaser trailer) and the Sandman appearing in No Way Home have since been scrubbed from the internet.
If all this is accurate, it means we have five out of six members of the Sinister Six confirmed! But who will be the sixth? Some speculate that it could be Michael Keaton as the Vulture, considering he already has a bone to pick with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
However, other rumors suggest that Tom Hardy could be appearing as Venom!
