All Eyes on ‘Marvel’s Voices: Comunidades #1’ Lineup!
In an article posted to the official Marvel Entertainment website on Monday, September 27th, 2021, the full creative lineup for the upcoming Marvel’s Voices: Comunidades #1 one-shot was announced!
The latest book in the ongoing Marvel’s Voices anthology series, this volume will turn the spotlight on the Latino and Latin creators and characters who form an essential element of the Marvel Comics universe!
Marvel’s Voices: Comunidades #1
First up, the main cover for the issue will be by Joe Quesada, with variants by Natacha Bustos, George Pérez, Jack Abel, Java Tartaglia, Humberto Ramos, Edgar Delgado, Nabetse Zitro, Jesus Aburtov, Maria Wolf, Mike Spicer, and Mateus Manhanini.
The first story will be “Just as Strange as You,” featuring Germán Aguilar and Eva Quintero (who we were introduced to over the course of Reptil). This story is by Reptil writer Terry Blas, with artist Julius Ohta and Erick Arciniega. This story is especially exciting to me as a huge fan of both Eva and Strange Academy!
Next up is “Pa’lante Juntos,” starring the first White Tiger. This story will be by writer Daniel José Older (4-Lom & Zuckuss), artist Germán Peralta, and colorist Aburtov.
Then comes “Legados,” starring White Tiger (Ava Ayala) and written by Amparo Ortiz, with art by Caio Majado and colors by Dono Sánchez-Almara.
Next up is “Latinx and Proud,” featuring Spider-Man (Miles Morales) and Spider-Girl (Anya Corazon) and written by Julio Anta, with art by Enid Balám, inks by Oren Junior, and colors by Federico Blee.
The next story is “You’re Not Alone,” featuring America Chavez (who you will be seeing more of next year in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) and written by Claribel A. Ortega, with art by Adriana Melo, inks by Victor Nava, and colors by Dijjo Lima.
Then, in “Fate and the Sorcerer Supreme” by writer Juan Ponce, artist Wilton Santos, inker Sean Pearson, and colorist Lima, we get a tale of Nina the conjuror, the Brazilian Sorcerer Supreme of the 1960s.
In “Loco-Moton,” starring Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), by writer Yehudi Mercado, artist Mauro Fodra, and colorist Fernando Sifuentes, we get to see a story about my favorite Ghost Rider (hint: it involves a subway)!
In “Operation: New World,” featuring Risque, we get a story by writers Desirée Proctor & Erica Harrell, artist Paco Medina, and colorist Blee.
In “Homecoming,” featuring Sunspot, we get a story by writer Alex Segura, artist Alba Glez, inker José Marzan Jr., and colorist Cris Peter.
And the final story, “¿De Donde Eres?,” we get a tale about Spider-Man (Miles Morales) and Black Panther by writer David Betancourt, artist Alita E. Martinez, inker Marzan Jr., and colorist Bryan Valenza.
Arriving November 10th, 2021
