Kathryn Hahn Speaks on House of Harkness
In an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Kathryn Hahn spoke with the eponymous host Drew Barrymore about the upcoming WandaVision spinoff, Agatha: House of Harkness.
Hahn has a Marvel Muzzle
According to Hahn, Marvel Studios has been exceptionally tight-lipped about the developments surrounding Agatha Harkness, the break-out character from the first Marvel Cinematic Universe series that arrived for streaming on Disney+, WandaVision. In fact, she didn’t even know that the show would be called Agatha: House of Harkness until the show was announced on Disney+ Day a few weeks ago.
Barrymore then goes for “the big question”: could Mephisto be appearing in House of Harkness? Hahn says she keeps hearing his name, but doesn’t know whether or not the demonic entity would be appearing. Then, Barrymore asked Hahn to fancast the role, which Hahn responds to by taking a long sip of her coffee before deflecting by talking about how badass Agatha is (you have to hand it to Hahn, she knows how to distract us with stuff we like).
In addition to discussing Hahn’s role as Harkness, Barrymore and Hahn also discussed the fact that Hahn doesn’t use social media, as well as her appearance in The Shrink Next Door on Apple TV+, in which she appears alongside fellow Marvelous actor Paul Rudd (sorry, Marvel Blog True Believers, but I will never apologize for a good Marvel pun).
Agatha: House of Harkness
Little is currently known about Agatha: House of Harkness, but one things for certain: audiences just can’t get enough of Hahn’s witchy, complicated character.
“You know, we think of a witch and immediately, you think of a woman who is loud, who is mysterious, who is dangerous because she’s complicated and she’s misunderstood,” Hahn said. “All that stuff is a real turn-on to me, in terms of a performer, in terms of digging into this person a little bit more. Very excited.”
We’re very excited too, Hahn!
