REVIEW: Cheesy Goodness in Lucky the Pizza Dog #1
We weren’t kidding when we predicted that Lucky the Pizza Dog would be taking the world by storm once Hawkeye arrives for streaming on Disney+, and now that prediction seems to be coming to pass… thanks in fact to the fact that Lucky the Pizza Dog, a brand-new Infinity Comic by Jason Loo has arrived to read on the Marvel Unlimited app!
Lucky the Pizza Dog #1
This comic presents a simple story – one without dialogue, even (which is not unprecedented for Pizza Dog – stay tuned to Marvel Blog for more on that soon). In the comic, Lucky is impatient to have his pizza delivered (we’ve all been there).
However, Lucky isn’t just a dog, he’s a superhero dog! He takes matters into his own hands and heads out onto the streets of New York City in search of that satisfying cheesy goodness!
But because this is a pizza delivery in the Marvel Comics universe, things are more complicated than they might appear. It turns out that none other than the Marvel supervillain the Porcupine has intercepted and stolen the hot and fresh pizza!
Fortunately, Pizza Dog has some friends in Hawkeye places, and he’s able to team up with Kate Bishop in order to take down the villain and get back what’s his: the pizza!
This was an adorable comic that I am hopeful will get a sequel next week (please, give us new Lucky content all the way through December, or as it’s now known, Pizza Dog Month). Furthemore, it is a great compliment to another pet-based Infinity Comic that you can read now: It’s Jeff, all about Gwenpool’s pet landshark Jeff.
Team-Up When
When will Lucky the Pizza Dog and Jeff the landshark get a team-up comic? Which other Marvelous pets do you hope will soon be getting their own Infinity Comics titles?
