Marvel Classic Black Light Posters
This collection of twelve black light posters includes an introduction by Roy Thomas (who is working on many collections these days), including details about their history in relation to Marvel Comics..
The portfolio features half of the twenty-four Third Eye, Inc. black light posters, originally released in 1971… and reproduced for the first time in five decades thanks to this portfolio!
The dozen posters included in Marvel Classic Black LIght Posters feature some of the biggest stars from Marvel Comics, including Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, and Iron Man. According to the description from publisher Abrams Books, these posters are suitable for framing, and they come in a flat portfolio package rather than rolled in a tube, so you don’t have to worry about the edges curling.
Furthermore, these posters are reactive to black light, so they’ll look incredible under the proper illumination.
On the back of the posters, there are details about which issue of the comics the images originally appeared within, along with the name of the artist. Many of these posters are by some of the biggest artists in Marvel Comics history, including Jack Kirby, Gene Colan, and Tom Palmer, plus others!
Hopefully, this initial collection of half of the original twenty-four Marvel black light posters will be followed by a second collection that includes the other twelve posters!
