Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness seems poised to be the follow-up to Spider-Man: No Way Home that carries a similar obsession by the fanbase, with one confirmed appearance of the anticipated film already shown in the trailer, we discuss the first look at America Chavez!
Things may have gotten out of hand for Doctor Strange recently, and the sequel to his 2016 film looks to be every bit the multiversal adventure we imagined it to be.

With Baron Mordo returning, and some nefarious things taking place within the mirror dimension, it appears as though the former Sorcerer Supreme will certainly have his hands full.

Along with our first look at the madness that awaits this multiversal adventure, fans got their first look at America Chavez ahead of her awaited MCU debut.
Marvel Studios previously confirmed that America would be appearing in the film, and many fans are curious as to how important her character will be in the film, with the studio staying mum until now. The first trailer for the film gives the impression that the role could be vital.

America Chavez – who often goes by Miss America – has a very interesting power set that makes her uniquely qualified to aid Doctor Strange.
Along with the power of flight, super strength, and impenetrability, Chavez has the unique power of being able to open doors into different realities across the multiverse. With her star-shaped portal, she opens already appearing in the trailer.

This makes Chavez a sort of interdimensional traveler – with her superhuman attributes making her capable of defending herself against whatever awaits in these various realities.
This ability seems like it will be incredibly useful for Doctor Strange as he is clearly up against a threat to the multiverse, an aspect of reality that must be protected.

Created by Joe Casey and Nick Dragotta in 2011’s Vengeance, Chavez became a staple of the Young Avengers in 2011 and was known to many comic book fans by her stint with this team and many others.
Although very far from being a widely known hero, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness presents the perfect stage for the character to be embraced by MCU fans.
