REVIEW: Marvelous Future in Infinite Possibilities (2022) #1
In Infinite Possibilities (2022) #1 by Geoffo, Dee Cunniffee, and Joe Sabino, we get a glimpse of the future of Marvel Comics… and the future is infinite!
Infinite Possibliities (2022) #1
We’ve talked a lot about the new Infinity Comics on Marvel Unlimited over the course of the few months since they’ve made their debut, Marvel Blog True Believers. As the most devoted readers will already be well aware, one of my favorite things about this scrolling-format comics is when they use their unique, continuous form for unusual aesthetic purposes which would be impossible on the paneled pages of a Marvel Comic!

One example is the ongoing Spine-Tingling Spider-Man Infinity Comic. Almost every episode of this series has featured art that takes full advantage of the scrolling format, showing Spidey as hey bounds up and down skyscrapers fighting foes.
Well, Infinite Possibilities really leans into this aspect of the scrolling, WEBTOON-style Infinity Comics! Essentially, this episode is one long scroll, with one familiar Marvel Comics character appearing after the next (and interspersed with Marvelous key terms like “Magnificent” and, for my magical girl Wanda, “Chaotic”).

While some of the characters who are included are sort of no-brainers (like Steve Rogers as Captain America), I was excited to see certain other personal favorites in the mix, like Howard the Duck and Jeff the Land Shark.

And did someone say something about crazy animal characters? Because even the members of Brute Force made the cut here. Maybe they’ll be getting that animated series we saw in Marvel’s 616 this year, Marvel Blog True Believers (but don’t hold your breath… but a Brute Force Infinity Comic? Now that sounds like a possibility).
