Amazing Romita Jr.
Currently, Amazing Spider-Man is in its “Beyond” phase, a storyline that follows Ben Reilly as the Amazing Spider-Man as he fills in for a horribly injured Peter Parker. This storyline has featured a rotating roster of talented creators, each of which have been focusing on a different perspective on the story, which sees the one-time Scarlet Spider joining forces with the probably-evil Beyond Corporation.
Whether or not Romita Jr.’s return will continue this storyline or herald the arrival of a new subplot remains to be seen, but one way or another, we’ll be swinging into our Local Comic Shop (LCS) to pick up the issue that features Romita Jr.’s art when it arrives in April 2022.
If you’re looking for a comic to read by Romita Jr. as you wait for his return to the Amazing Spider-Man creative team, we have a suggestion for you, Marvel Blog True Believers: Eternals (2022), available to read now on the Marvel Unlimited app.
Originally released in 2006, the first three issues of this series has been adapted to the scrolling Infinity Comics format, and features writer Neil Gaiman, Romita Jr. on pencils, Danny Miki with Tim Townsend and Tom Palmer on inks, Matt Hollingsworth with Dean White and Paul Mounts on colors, and letterer Todd Klein, and covers by Rick Berry. The series was verticalized for Sigongsa by Media Palm.
