A Tale of Two Caps at Marvel Comics
In a video posted to YouTube on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022, Marvel Comics unveiled a new era for Captain America, beginning in Spring 2022. In this brave new era, both Sam Wilson and Steve Rogers will be weidling their own shields as they both stand tall as Captains America… It’s a tale of two Caps, and it begins in April 2022 at Marvel Comics!

The action all begins in Captain America #0 by Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly, Tochi Onyebuchi, and Mattia De Iulis, with a main cover by Alex Ross (who is going to be having a very busy year with Marvel Comics, Marvel Blog True Believers). This issue will set up the new status quo, which will include two Caps with two shields! This issue will arrive in April 2022.

Then, beginning in May 2022, we’ll be getting two separate ongoing titles, each of which will follow a different one of the two Caps. In Captain America: Symbol of Truth #1 by Onyebuchi and R.B. Silva, we’ll follow the exploits of Sam Wilson as Captain America.

And in June 2022, Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #1 by Lanzing, Kelly, and Carmen Carnero, we’ll follow the story of Steve Rogers as Captain America.
