Marvel Multiverse RPG Gets Momoko Variant Cover
Back in June 2021, Marvel Blog reported on an exciting upcoming book: the Marvel Multiverse RPG Playtest Playbook. Well, it turns out that, in accordance with the mighty Marvel manner, you’ll be able to get this book with either the main cover or one of several variant covers… and I’m sure that no one will be surprised to learn that I’m most excited about the Peach Momoko variant featuring none other than the Scarlet Witch!
Marvel Multiverse RPG Playtest Playbook
With the Marvel Multiverse RPG Playtest Playbook, you’ll get the opportunity to play as a super hero or a super villain… either one of the established Marvel Comics characters, or a brand-new hero of your own design! Written by Matt Forbeck and with a main cover by Iban Coello, this must-buy book will be available for sale on March 30th, 2022.
Designed for two to six players, you’ll only need three standard dice (the kind with six sides) in order to play… And speaking of numbers, there’s one you’ll want to keep special track of while playing: 6-1-6! That’s right, Marvel Blog True Believers, thanks to the brand-new D616 system, rolling the Marvelous numbers 6, 1, and 6 will yield especially fantastic results.
Perhaps that’s why the variant cover by Momoko, which features the Scarlet Witch and three dice, has the magical powerhouse ensuring the dice roll 6, 1, and 6. Here’s a protip, Marvel Blog True Believers: don’t play dice games with super powered individuals who can control probability!
In addition to the Momoko variant, there will also be a variant by Logan Lubera. If you want either of these variants, though, you’ll have to purchase from a Direct Market retailer: meaning call you Local Comic Shop (LCS), Marvel Blog True Believers!
Arriving in March 2022
If you want to pick up a copy of the Marvel Multiverse RPG Playtest Playbook for yourself, it will be available in March 2022. Are you going to be picking up a copy when it arrives? Do you hope to get the Momoko variant, as well? Let us know what you’re thinking in the comment section!
