Vin Diesel Announces He is Back in the Booth as Groot
With the future of the beloved Guardians of the Galaxy approaching its most transformative installment, one of the team’s veteran actors has returned as Vin Diesel announces he is back in the booth as Groot!

With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 setting itself up to be the pinnacle installment of the series- with rumors of it ending the current iteration of the team as we know it- it appears as though a beloved member of the team is back in business.

Taking to Instagram today, veteran actor Vin Diesel announces he is back in the booth as Groot, recording voice-over work for the character.
It wasn’t specified what project Diesel is recording for, but with the newly announced I Am Groot series, the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, and his likely starring role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it appears as though there will be no shortage of the adored hero.

Diesel noted that he was present with his longtime collaborator, sougn engineer Doc Kane, who has been the man in the chair for all of Diesels voice over work since his time as the title character in the incredible 1999 animated feature, Iron Giant.
Although Diesel and Kane didn’t make known the project the two were working on, he did confirm that he was there to record various parts for the character of Groot.

It would make sense for Diesel to be working on parts for all three projects, as I Am Groot is slated for a release at some point this year, the Holiday Special likely debuting during the holiday season, and the third installment of the franchise not releasing until 2023.
We cannot wait to see the return of Guardians of the Galaxy, and once again be in awe of just how many ways Diesel can say his iconic like!
