The Poster unveiled on Super Bowl Sunday displayed a split image of Marc Spector/Steven Grant, portrayed by Oscar Isaac, and his vigilante costumed form of the Moon Knight. A stunning composition that plays on the duality of Grant’s fractured psyche.
Similar to the comic series of the same name, Marc Spector is plagued with dissociative identity disorder leading to the creation of an alternate identity. Spector’s alternate identity is Steven Grant a simple museum worker who appears to have a flair for theatrics, utilizing a particularly exaggerated British accent.
New Trailer Illuminates Moon Knight’s Chaotic Inner Struggle
In addition to the poster, Marvel Studios also released a quick 30-second trailer, a creepily mysterious showing of how troubled our Moon knight protagonist really is.
The trailer features Steven Grant trying to make sense of the increasingly crazed hallucinations, or memories, that he is enduring. With a backdrop of Kid Cudi’s legendary ‘Day ‘N’ Nite’, we see Grant shifting from one moment to the next, unable to tell the difference between when he is awake or asleep.

In one sequence, we see a figure behind Grant, who appears to be wrapped in mummy-like bandages. This figure is almost certain to be Khonshu, the ancient Egyptian god of the moon, who bestows Marc Spector with his powers and crowns Spector his champion.
Khonshu is sure to play a pivotal role in the series, and will most likely be the reason for Grant’s troubled sleep patterns and newfound abilities.
What Role Will Arthur Harrow Play?
Another important figure seen in the new trailer is that of Arthur Harrow, played by Ethan Hawke. Harrow appears to be instructing Isaac’s Steven Grant to “Embrace the Chaos”.
In the comics (Earth 616) Arthur Harrow was an expert scientist in the medical field of pain tolerance. Harrow experimented on human subjects drawing the interest of a colleague, ultimately Moon Knight gets involved and puts a stop to Harrow’s nefarious experiments. Whether Harrow will remain similar to his comic counterpart or have a new role entirely is unknown.
