Owen Wilson Confirms ‘Loki’ Season 2 is Set to Begin Filming
One of the stars of the series first season, Owen Wilson confirms that Loki season 2 is set to begin filming very soon!
With Marvel’s first foray into long-form storytelling coming in 2021 with their plethora of Disney+ series, the endeavor reached no greater heights than what they achieved in Loki.

A series that was set to act as a character study of one of the MCU’s most iconic and long-standing characters, writer Michael Waldron and the god of mischief himself Tom Hiddleston, brought the character to life in a brand new way.
While the series was, primarily, a deep dive into just who Loki is, it also introduced a brand new aspect of the MCU, with the series introducing the Time Variance Authority and the idea of the multiverse.

The concepts seemed incredibly dense but were executed brilliantly, as Loki took viewers deep into the concept of alternate reality, and variants; multiversal versions of characters from the MCU that we know and love.
The idea became the centerpiece for Marvel’s lauded Phase Four, the most recent era for the Studio that seems to emphasize creativity, ambition, and a commitment to the deconstruction of the Marvel mold as we understand it.

One of the stand-out appearances of Loki was the MCU debut of Mobius, brought to life by the tremendous comedic talent of Owen Wilson.
The character was fantastically written as the perfect juxtaposition to Loki himself, and the two actors displayed instant chemistry that added to the series.

In a recent video done for Wired, Owen Wilson confirms Loki Season 2 is set to begin filming very soon; which confirms earlier reports that the series was slated to start production.
In the video, Wilson stated, “Is Owen Wilson coming back to Loki? Um…yes. He is coming back to Loki, and I think we’re going to begin filming that pretty soon. I had a great time working on Loki. I really enjoyed Tom Hiddleston and all the people on that.”

The confirmation should indicate that Loki is a strong candidate for a 2023 release, and with the previous announcement that Moon Knight directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are slated to direct the series, Loki should be off and running very soon!
