Disney+ Takes Part in ‘Doctor Strange 2’ Rumor Madness
Not since Spider-Man: No Way Home has a Marvel film insight so much fan engagement and theorization, and it appears as though Disney+ has taken part in the Doctor Strange 2 rumor madness.
Perhaps this is the new normal, as fans have taken to the social media airwaves to decipher every single frame of the latest trailer for Marvel’s upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
In a film that is defining itself on the unexpected and the mysterious, the promotional campaign has most certainly had fans attempting to uncover the secrets that lie within every trailer we’ve gotten so far; and with questions begot more questions, as only May 6th will hold the answers.
With Spider-Man: No Way Home experiencing a similar level of fanaticism, it appears as though Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is more a sign of things to come than another anomaly.
The entire internet has been up in arms over what they do, or don’t, see in the trailer; and it appears as though Disney+ has taken part in the Doctor Strange 2 Rumor madness by addressing an interesting fan theory that has occurred over the past few weeks,
Super Bowl Sunday saw Marvel release both a brand new trailer for the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel, and a new poster; the latter of which showed fans a collection of hidden images within the shards of glass.
One interesting addition to these hidden images was the inclusion of Captain Carters Shield; something that many have assumed could lead to the character’s eventually live-action debut in the upcoming film.
Disney+ has recently taken part in the Doctor Strange 2 Rumor madness with a post by one of its affiliated Twitter accounts

@Disney+IT, the home of Marvel’s What If…? series that featured the character’s debut, has recently commented on the “Madness’ of the character’s shield present in the poster.
With the original post being in a different language, when translated to English, it states, “It seems that Shield has recently reappeared somewhere…Doesn’t that sound like ‘Madness’ to you?”
Captain Carter was a key member of the team assembled in What If…?, and the character is set to debut her very own comic series later this year: could all of this be an attempt to push the character with her live-action debut just on the horizon?
Only time will tell, but we can’t begin to mention how excited we are for the upcoming sequel, and the unthinkable that could arise after.
