New ‘Moon Knight’ Detail Suggests Marc Spector Survived Thanos’ Snap
The MCU’s newest series has continued to put on the display the patented attention to detail that has defined Marvel Studios; with a new Moon Knight detail suggesting Marc Spector may have survived Thanos’ snap.
Few Marvel projects have debuted to the fantastic reception of Moon Knight; the newest MCU series that featured a new perfect second episode.
Centered on the character of Steven Grant, the series explores the inner turmoil of his own mental illness; as his battle against dissociative identity disorder is nearly ruining his life.
Grant is the perfect main character of the series, as he has continually endeared audiences to him in a way that has situated him perfectly as the entity audiences want to root for.
That personality is balanced by his alter ego of Marc Spector- a character who, in the source material, acts as the primary personality present in the entity of Steven Grant and Marc Spector- which may continue to be the case in the continuing MCU series.
If anyone is known for their ability to hide a good easter egg and keep hyper-fixated on their establishment on the smallest details, it’s Marvel Studios.
The practice of hinting at things not explored goes all the way back to the MCU’s earliest work, and a recent easter egg could point to a vital fact for the newest Marvel character; as a brand new Moon Knight detail suggests Marc Spector survived Thanos’ snap.
In the series’ second episode, Steven Grant finally uncovered Marc Spector’s secret storage unit hideout, in which he finds an American passport that was issued in 2018.
The small detail would suggest that Spector was serving the Khonshu throughout the five-year gap present in Avengers: Endgame, after surviving Thanos’ extinction of half of all life in the universe.
It is obviously a possibility that the details on the passport were faked, but it is interesting to consider how Khonshu and Marc’s relationship was established within the timeline of the overall MCU.
