‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Wins Favorite Movie and More at Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards
The film event of 2021 has just been recognized in a fan voting awards event as Spider-Man: No Way Home wins favorite movie and more at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.
There is no denying that last year brought fans one of the greatest comic book films in the history of the genre.
Spider-Man: No Way Home took the most iconic and beloved character in the history of the medium and constructed a narrative that is perhaps the best in his long live-action history.
Bringing together three generations of Peter Parker, and putting on display 20 years’ worth of Spider-Man film history; the Marvel epic felt like a celebration of who Peter Parker and Spider-Man are, and why they have so persevered through the many years he has existed.
Despite the film’s obvious triumphs, it has been relatively silent in the awards show department, as the Academy Awards completely shut it out of their festivities.
Yet, it didn’t stop someone from recognizing its greatest accomplishments and triumphant feats as ComicBook.com reported Spider-Man: No Way Home wins favorite movie and more at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards
It was a dominant night for the film at the fan-run event, as it took home three of the festivities’ major awards; winning for Favorite Movie, Favorite Movie Actor for film star Tom Holland, and Favorite Movie Actress for the film’s other star Zendaya.
The wins are not surprising- it was one of the best and most-watched movies of the year by far- but it is a great feat for the Studios nonetheless, especially considering that this is only the third Marvel film to see wins at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, following Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame
Although it isn’t the kind of awards show glory that Marvel Studios had hoped for this year, it is a very cool event, and points to the reality that young people adore and support Spider-Man as much now as they ever have.
