Tim Roth’s praise for Maslany was dripping with enthusiasm as he said working with her was an amazing experience, calling her “jaw-dropping”, and lauding her ability to absorb the material and put out a quality performance. Further, Roth mentioned her comedic touch, in his eyes being the sign of a remarkable actor.
These are very heavy praises from an actor who has worked with some of the greatest actors in Hollywood, and who himself has been awarded many critical awards and nominations. Known for his roles in films such as Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Rob Roy; Roth has cemented himself as an actor of quality, and his return as Abomination is highly anticipated.
Maslany wasn’t the only one Roth heaped with praise, as he spoke positively about his time spent with Mark Ruffalo during the filming of She-Hulk. Roth mentioned Ruffalo’s capability to be funny while not taking himself to seriously as the Hulk, citing Ruffalo’s “gentleness” and “wit” which helped each actor’s ability to improvise scene by scene.
Mark Ruffalo has played the Hulk since 2012 when he replaced Edward Norton who filmed The Incredible Hulk in 2008. Tim Roth has the special privilege of now having played the role of Abomination for Edward Norton’s Hulk, Ruffalo’s Hulk, and now Maslany’s She-Hulk.
She-Hulk is one of the most anticipated series set to arrive on Disney+ this year. With Mark Ruffalo returning as the Hulk, Liv Tyler potentially returning as Betty Ross, and Jameela Jamil joining as Titania; returning stars from the Hulk and new Hulk members result in Marvel Studios’ first exercise in bridging the gap between Universal’s Hulk film and Disney’s Hulk.
We here at Marvel blog cannot wait to see this series Hulk smash onto Disney+!
