America Chavez Confirmed as a “Nexus Being”?
One of the interesting concepts first explored in Loki, it may be confirmed by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron that America Chavez is the MCU’s next “Nexus Being.”
A film that has dominated the box office in the first two weeks of its theatrical release, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been the mind-bending next adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universes Phase Four.

Exploring the multiversal narrative that first started in Loki, the film sets Marvel’s resident sorcerer up against the boundless and endless unknown of the multiverse, where he and various heroes come face to face with what may be the biggest threat in all of the multiverse.
The film was a terrifying look into the world of its eponymous character, and the mind of its main antagonist, and also debuted who will undoubtedly be one of the MCU’s most popular characters moving forward.

America Chavez is the MCU’s rookie of the year, as the multiversal traveling hero ended up being one of the film’s main characters, and was the subject of attacks thanks to her incredible power to jump from universe to universe.
The question on many fans’ minds is the extent of Chavez’s power, and how she could be perceived through the lens of the entire Marvel Universe.

With her undeniable power, it is clear that the character is vitally important, but recent suggestions by the film’s writer may point to her being more important than anyone thought.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer, Michael Waldron, may have confirmed America Chavez as the MCU’s new Nexus Being.

When asked about the lack of America Chavez variants in the multiverse, Waldron stated, “That’s a good question. And I think that’s the sort of thing that I’d like to see explored in the next chapter of America’s story.”
Waldron continued, “Clearly, she’s a very significant being in the universe. Whether you want to call her a Nexus being or whatever. I think that’s all stuff that’s up for grabs as we continue to explore her story.”
