Miami Heat Star Tyler Herro Joins Thor Stars For Commercial
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released in July! The first trailer was released last month, and now a promotional commercial featuring Miami Heat star Tyler Herro is playing in the NBA Playoffs!
Tyler Herro is a young rising star of the Miami Heat, having already won the sixth man of the year award at the young age of 22. As the Miami Heat are currently in the Conference finals, a commercial featuring Tyler Herro and the cast of Love and Thunder is running for the playoffs.
Tyler Herro Meets The Hero Thor
The comedic commercial pairs Thor’s Chris Hemsworth with Tyler Herro, playing off the basketball star’s last name. Director Waititi seated with Tessa Thompson asks “where’s my hero at?” Prompting both Hemsworth and Herro to answer “yes” and simultaneously speak.
An interesting side note of the commercial is the interesting difference in size between “The Strongest Avenger” Thor and Tyler Herro. Thor is usually pictured as imposing and tall amongst his fellow avengers, yet actually looks quite short compared to this basketball player.
Thor’s next film has been described by some as a “journey of self-discovery” as it follows up on Thor after the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame in which Thor lost his brother and many of his fellow Asgardians.
Perhaps the biggest reveal of the film, seen in the trailer and multiple promotional sources, is that of the return of Jane Foster who will now wield Thor’s old hammer Mjolnir to become The Mighty Thor.
In addition to Jane Foster returning as Thor, other characters will also return, such as King Valkyrie and everyone’s favorite stone alien Korg. Further, the new villainous Gorr the god butcher will be making his debut played by legendary actor Christian Bale.
The Multiverse of Madness released this month dominating the box office. With more than a month left to the release of Love and Thunder, there is a great deal of anticipation to see how Thor’s journey will continue and we cannot wait to see it!
