‘Ms. Marvel’ Star Recounts Halloween as Kamala Khan
One of the most endearing developments of the promotional campaign for the upcoming Disney+ MCU series, Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani recounts Halloween dressing as Kamala Khan.
There are few Marvel comic characters that have been more beloved in the past ten years than Kamala Khan’s Ms. Marvel.

A hero who has been quickly established by Marvel as a fan favorite, she so perfectly embodies everything that Marvel fans understand; represented fandom and young life in perfect and almost poetic ways.
She is a character that is so easily loveable and relatable and is set to finally make her live-action debut in the upcoming and highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The character is being brought to life by the young- and previously unknown- Iman Vellani, who carries with her so many of the qualities that have made fans fall in love with Kamala Khan.
In a recently released short documentary titled A Fans Guide to Ms. Marvel, the series star recounts one Halloween spent as Kamala Khan in a story that is sure to steal the hearts of every young viewer.

Showed alongside a picture of what looks like. homemade costume, with Vellani, dressed as Ms. Marvel, the young actress spoke highly about what the character means to her, and how she felt seen in this young, Muslim-American, hero.
Vellani stated, “Yeah, that whole year when I fell in love with Ms. Marvel, I dressed up as her. I went to the thrift store, and I got a blue dress. I did the whole thing, I went to school the next day, and people were like, ‘Are you the Flash?”

It not only speaks to the young actor’s adoration and love of the character but also how far she has come in the eyes of most general audiences; something that will surely increase with Vellani’s role in the upcoming series arriving in just a couple of weeks.
