‘Ms. Marvel’ Episode 1 Features Another QR Code
It was a very cool interactive addition to the Moon Knight series that fans couldn’t get enough of, and it appears that it has made a return as Ms. Marvel episode 1 feature another QR code.
Moon Knight is, in our opinion, the best Marvel series yet, as it combines so much of what makes the Marvel Cinematic Universe great while implementing things that the MCU has not yet been able to explore.
Outside of the tremendous performances and storytelling aspects, one of the coolest additions to the series- and the overall experience for the viewers- were active QR codes that linked to comic books.
Fans who watched the series could then have access to the origin issues of the character of Moon Knight, as well as some other issues as the episodes went along; it would only last for the first few installments but it remained a very cool tidbit that increased the overall engagement from fans.
It was an addition that many fans wondered if it would return or continue; and with the newest Marvel series, we finally have our answer, as Ms. Marvel episode 1 does feature another QT Code.
It occurs in a very quick scene with Kamala Khan and Bruno Carelli; they are in the store below Bruno’s apartment, looking over her newly airbrushed costume, and taking part in a slow-motion high-five.
Above Bruno’s shoulder, the code can be seen; and when activated, gives viewers access to Ms. Marvel (2014) #1 by G. Willow Wilson.
The Seminole issue was the original birthplace of Kamala Khan in the Main Marvel comics universe and is- to this day- one of the most important Marvel comics.
It brought to life Kamala’s Ms. Marvel and the groundbreaking stories that would define her ascension into the upper echelon of Marvel heroes.
G. Willow Wilson is an absolute master at crafting stories that feel very specific to a certain experience or culture, but also feel incredibly relatable; and this QR code allows viewers to relive that issue, and encounter this early moment of Kamala’s existence.
