Taika Waititi Talks Potential Cameos in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’
If there is one thing that has been a massive point of importance for Marvel fans, it’s the use of quick appearances in some of their most beloved films; perhaps no one does this than the Thor orchestrator, as Taika Waititi recently spoke on cameos in Thor: Love and Thunder.
There are few directors who can do justice to the cameo; a very delicate practice that, when overdone can lead to a lot of eye-rolling from fans, but when executed perfectly can lead to brilliant moments that mean so much to the Marvel Cinematic Universe faithful.
Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is one who does the cameo immense justice; with his most memorable being the Matt Damon and Luke Hemsworth appearances that took place within the play within the film.
Naturally, many fans are curious as to whether or not the upcoming fourth solo film would implement different surprising appearances; and it seems that we can expect just a few big ones, as Taika Waititi recently spoke about cameos in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.
In a statement that was reported by ComicBook.com, Waititi was asked if fans can expect any big cameos in the upcoming film, to which he replied a resounding, “Yes.”
When asked to elaborate further, predictably, Waititi refused to say much, assuring that his silence was for the betterment of the film, “Otherwise it won’t be a cameo. You cant talk about it. Then they may as well be on the poster.”
The film is riddled with returning heroes and debut appearances, with characters like Zeus promised to appear; with many fans assuming that his arrival doesn’t point to the character being a cameo, due to his presence in the film’s various promotional material.
It will certainly be one of the funnier parts of the movie, as we will definitely have our eyes peeled and on the lookout for hidden Waititi cameos.
