New Information on ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ Arrives
We now know a little bit more about what is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated comic book films of the coming year, following its widely adored predecessors; as new information on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse arrives.
There are few who will argue the merits of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse as one of the best comic book adaptations of all time.
The groundbreaking animated film presented the story of Miles Morales in what it’s easily one of the most creative animated projects of all time; pushing the medium to its absolute limits in a film that arrived at a phenomenal reception.
With the unfortunate delay of the long-awaited sequel, fans have been clamoring for any updates regarding the follow-up to the tremendous Spider-Verse film.
The movie recently debuted a brand new screenshot alongside the announcement of the Spot that will appear in the film, and some more new information on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse arrives.
Arriving in a Tweet from Sony Pictures Animation, the account was live reacting to the films showing clips at the Annecy Film festival.
In that Across the #SpiderVerse clip we saw: An anachronistic version of The Vulture (voiced by @jormataccone), our old friend Spider-Man 2099 (voiced by Oscar Isaac), and the incomparable (and pregnant!) Jessica Drew aka Spider-Woman (voiced by @issarae). #AnnecyFestival

The Tweet stated, “As a treat #AnnecyFestival gets a sequence from the film! In this clip, we find Gwen’s dad, George Stacy (Voiced by Shea Whigham), a ‘by the books cop,’ responding to a disturbance at the Guggenheim Museum. Of course, Gwen beats him to the scene, where she’s met with new faces…”
A subsequent Tweet went in-depth, stating, “In that Across the #SpiderVerse clip we saw: An anachronistic version of The Vulture (voiced by @jormataccone), our old friend Spidrer-Man 2099 (voiced by Oscar Isaac), and the incomparable (and pregnant!) Jessica Drew aka Spider-Woman…”
We are so excited to see characters like Vulture and the various Spider-Men appear in the highly-anticipated film, and we cannot wait for the film to arrive in 2023.
Actors like Oscar Isaac and Issa Rae are primed to bring a whole new dimension to what should be a fantastic addition to the Spider-Verse franchise
