Tessa Thompson Talks That ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ Thunderbolt
It is a weapon that we’ve seen throughout the promotional campaign for the upcoming film, but also one that we know basically nothing about- other than that it initiates from Zeus- as Valkyrie herself, Tessa Thompson, talks that Thor: Love and Thunder Thunderbolt.
One of the most exciting aspects of the upcoming fourth Thor solo film is the return of a character that has quickly evolved into being a fan favorite; Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie has been the undeniably cool hero that has helped infuse the Thor franchise with brand new energy.

She is slated to be one of the most important heroes in the upcoming film and has been shown fighting alongside Thor, Jane Foster, and Korg in their pursuit and confrontation with the menacing and villainous Gorr the God Butcher.
One of the interesting aspects of the film is a weapon that we’ve seen a lot of and seen a lot of different characters use, but don’t know much about; which was touched on by Valkyrie herself in a recent interview, as Tessa Thompson talks about that Thor: Love and Thunder Thunderbolt.

Speaking to ComicBook.com about Valkyrie, Thompson stated, “There are some new moves. I’ll be honest, I didn’t like get to… I wish I had had more time. Val doesn’t get as much time as she would like to with the Thunderbolt, but it was very fun.”
Thompsons added, “I hope Russell doesn’t mind me saying this, but he’s amazing with it obviously because it is his weapon so he really learned how to wield it. Sometimes he would rehearse outside of my trailer and I would watch him rehearsing, which was really fun.”

“I also remember like when I was first playing VAlkryie and training for her and like with my sword with dragon Fang,” Thompsons concluded, “U would just like take that thing everywhere and practice. So, it was very sweet to watch Russell in a tennis skirt, practicing his wielding abilities.”
We cannot wait to see Valkyrie wield Zeus’s Thunderbolt, and take in that unique character’s place in the MCU.
