Doctor Doom Could have Massive Role in MCU’s Secret Wars
He represents an adaptation to the big screen that is among the most exciting to fans, and with the most recent San Diego Comic-Con announcement shaking things up for the foreseeable future, Doctor Doom could have a massive role in the MCU’s Secret Wars.
Throughout the vast history of Marvel comics, there have been some of the most iconic creations to ever grant the medium, and they have been some of the most important to the company in their nearly millennia of existence.
Few are as important or as continually vital to the comic book universe as Doctor Doom, a villain who originally was conceptualized as the foil to the Fantastic Four, but quickly evolve throughout the history of Marvel to become an overarching villain for everyone.
He is complicated, visually intriguing, and narratively varied in his different appearances to become an iconic and fan-favorite character, but his popularity and influence reached no higher peak than his involvement in the massive event that is quickly approaching the big screen.
During the return to San Diego Comic-Con after a two-year postponement period following the COVID-19 pandemic, Marvel Studios took the stage at Hall H to devel deep into the upcoming years for the studio, with an emphasis on what is set to follow the end of Phase Four.
Touching on Phase Six, MCU architect Kevin Fiege announced Avengers: Secret Wars, a project likely to develop into the comic book of the same name, and the title that truly redefined the iconic MArvel villain as one of the best in the industry.
This is why Doctor Doom could, eventually, have a massive role in the MCU’s secret wars, and could represent his evolution to being one of the most important characters that the Marvel Cinematic Universe can offer.
Not only is the assumption that Doom will be the main villain of the Fantastic Four film set to kickstart Phase Six, but with Avengers: Secret Wars quickly following, there is the assumption that he would then become a huge part of that series.
Either way, all sins are pointing to Victor Von Doom becoming one of the biggest Marvel villains that the film universe can offer, and embracing his rightful place as one of the best Marvel villains in this universe.
