Who is Marvel’s The Hood?

With the focus on Williams being so apparent, it was very shocking for it to recently be revealed that a character that is set to be an important part of her upcoming Disney+ series was a mysterious and dangerous villain known as The Hood.
He is a character that is pretty unknown by most mainstream fans, but just who is Marvel’s The Hood? Well, he is a lot of things, but foremost he is a small-time criminal who gains access to a possessed cloak and boots that turn him into the villainous entity we now know.
Born Parker Robbins, The Hood was created by veteran comic book writer Brian K. Vaughn, and was a criminal for Kingpin, who encountered a Nisanti Demon after stealing from an unknown source; one that turned out to be containing some detrimental secrets.
The character uses the cloak to commit certain smaller crimes, eventually building an entire criminal empire under the name, and maintaining a terrifying presence over the Marvel underworld.
Only time will tell if the MCU will follow a similar track with the character, but there is little denying that he remains one of the most interesting villains of the Marvel Universe; and one that a lot of people don’t know all that well.
