‘She/ Hulk’ Writer Teases MCU’s Best Pairing
The newest MCU series has officially arrived, and it has been everything that fans could’ve hoped for; with two episodes officially in the books for the Disney+ series, there is so much still to come, as one She/ Hulk writer teases the MCU’s best pairing
There are few characters that can boast the unique perspective and character traits of one Jennifer Walters, a hero who is one of the most unique that the pages of Marvel comics have ever produced.
brash, hilarious, and able to take care of just about any impending threat, Jennifer Walters is a hero forever conflicted in the completely different occupations that she is battling to keep hold of; one that she chooses, and one that was inadvertently thrust upon her.
But what makes this iconic towering hero all the most interesting is how she has been utilized in the source material, and how that utilization has made her among the most special heroes that Marvel has seen.
Jennifer Walters is able to poke fun at the Marvel Universe in ways very few heroes are able, due in large part to her fourth-wall-breaking capabilities that set the stage for her unique brand of comedic timing and self-awareness.
With the series already embracing so many of those characteristics, fans cannot wait to continue to see this story unfold, and with only two episodes behind us, one She/ Hulk writer teases the MCU’s best pairing in an episode to come.
In an interview with Geeks of Color, She/ Hulk writer, Jessica Gao, spoke of the characters she most enjoyed writing, and highlighted one episode in particular that she believes will be a hit with Marvel fans.
Gao stated, “Pj, others so many episodes. I mean, I love all the episodes, and there are so many really special ones… I mean Episdoe 4, I think, is gonna be a fan-favorite of everybody’s, just because, you know, we get to see Wong in such a new light.”
The writer continues, “But we also get to pair him with probably… I think the best pairing in the entire MCU… There are some upcoming episodes that feel like of like bottle-ish episodes, where you really kind of focus on this one story.”
“And we deal with things that you just haven’t seen any superheroes deal with,” Gao concluded, “that feels very human and part of normal life that I’m very excited to show.”
Could the pairing be Wong and Walters? Could fan-favorite Daredevil be making his long-awaited return? We shall find out soon, but Gao is clear that Episdoe 4 is one to keep an eye out for.
