‘Moon Knight’ Takes Home Emmy for Outstanding Sound Editing
Although they were well represented in the nomination category, there were many who wondered whether or not Marvel would be able to take home any gold; it turns out they have, as Moon Knight has taken home the Emmy for Oustanding Sound Editing for a Limited or Anthology Series.
We have been very outspoken about our love for the Phase Four classic that saw some of the most interesting characters, creatures, and worlds come together in the MCU epic; Moon Knight.
This series is everything was not only brilliant for its narrative risks and commitment to its story, but it was a fantastic look into just what could be possible within the confines of a Marvel Cinematic Universe that has drastically changed in its expectation over the past five to seven years.
When Avengers first arrived in theaters all the way back in 2012, if I had asked you then if Moon Knight was possible as a project, there would be many who would assume it was not; he was a character that was just a little too niche, a little too inaccessible.
But here we are, and Moon Knight is not only a possibility for the MCU, but it has become one of their more mature endeavors that have brought to life some of the richest characters and most heartwrenching stories to a world that had previously shied away from the depths of darkness that were present in this.
And now, the fruits of that labor have been rewarded, as following Chadwick Boseman’s posthumous win for his voice-over performance in the animated series What If…? Moon Knight has also taken home an Emmy for Outstanding Sound Editing in a limited or anthology series.

It may not have been an award that Marvel or the creative team at Moon Knight expected with the brilliance of the series they put together, but these kinds of milestones are nothing to scoff at; as they represent the perception and positioning of the Marvel Universe within the confines of culture.
Marvel is among the most successful studios, series, and developments in the industry, and this proves that they will remain among them, with all the potential in the world to continue their upward growth and trajectory forward.
