Insomniac Games Celebrates Four-Year Anniversary of ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’: Is Sequel Footage Incoming?
It has been one of the biggest video games on the planet, and it’s hard to believe that this anniversary is upon us, as Insomniac Games is set to celebrate the four-year anniversary of Marvel’s Spider-Man on Twitch; is footage of the sequel incoming?
There are very few characters that are tailor-made for the world of video games, but there is absolutely no doubt that Spider-Man is among those few.
A hero who embodies a lot of what makes the superhero genre appealing, Spider-Man has always been one of the most beloved characters Marvel has ever brought to life, and firmly stands as maybe the creates comic book creation of all time.
And with all of that adoration for the hero, when it was announced that he would be the centerpiece of his very own game franchise fans were elated; when it was announced as an open-world adventure game, fans were seemingly awestruck.

A video game that still feels as relevant today as the day that it debuted, development studio Insomniac Games is set to celebrate the four-year anniversary of Marvel’s Spider-Man on Twitch.
The game was remarkably well received by fans for the freedom it allowed, and how it truly celebrated the characteristics that make Peter Parker one of the best characters in fiction.
And that was carried over in the subsequent title, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which saw the user able to take control of the next inheritor of the wall-crawling superhero.
Miles Morales added a brand new element to the game, as it allowed the players to experience a whole new facet of being Spider-Man, and in that game, Insomniac saw yet another massive hit.
But now there is the highly-anticipated sequel to that original Spider-Man game, titled Spider-Man 2, which- based on the small trailers that we have seen- could have players able to take control of either Peter or Miles.
And with the Insominca celebration setting off on Twitch tomorrow, and rumors of the sequel gameplay being shown soon, could we actually see some updates on Spider-Man 2 during the four-year anniversary celebration of the first game?
The answer is currently unknown, but it is entirely possible; however, with D23 coming this weekend, and Marvel games planning to stream live, it would not surprise us to see that be the setting for some newly released images and gameplay.
