Marvel Previews Massive ‘Dark Web’ Event
It has been foreshadowed since the appearance of Chasm at the end of the latest Amazing Spider-Man run, as Marvel previews the massive Dark Web event.
There is no denying that Spider-Man is perhaps the greatest creation in the history of the medium, as he has been the most popular and beloved hero since his inception six decades ago.
In that time, there have been a whole host of villains and allies that have entered his sphere, with the entire Spider-Man Universe becoming one of Marvel’s most compelling.
Among those allies, one stands out as having maybe the most interesting connection to the famed hero, and that is none other than Ben Reilly.
A clone of Peter Parker, it wasn’t until recently that Reilly was finally able to live as Spider-Man and be embraced by the fanbase in the Beyond story arc that saw him stand as the one true web-slinger.
That all changed, and at the conclusion of that arc it was teased that Reilly has now become an entity known as Chasm, and his appearance is setting the stage for a massive Marvel story arc.
With the interwoven stories coming to fruition, Marvel previews the massive Dark Web Event, that will bring the worlds of Spider-Man, The X-Men, Ms. Marvel, Venom, and Chasm to a head.
The series is set to kick off this December, as Reilly- and another wronged Spider-Man clone, Madelyn Pryor- seek their revenge.
This December, the two most famous wronged clones of the Marvel Universe will team up to take back what’s theirs!
