Brand New Iron Man Video Game Will Feature an Original Story
It seems as though the Motive Studios Marvel game won’t be inspired by any comic books, as the brand new Iron Man Video game will feature an all-new original story.
Throughout the history of Marvel comics, there are few characters who are as beloved, long-lasting, and continually relevant as Iron Man.
Tony Stak has long been a vital character in the history of the Marvel Universe, and his role in the Avengers has kept him a hero who is a fan favorite.
Often seen opposite Captain America as the two halves of the team’s leadership duo, Stark is the billionaire, wise-cracking, superhero that has always found a way to endear himself to fans.
It is that same endearing quality that had the fanbase so excited when it was announced that Motive Studios would be developing a brand new title centered around the beloved hero.
But with the announcement, there were many fans who questioned just what the inspiration behind the series would be, with perhaps a comic book series, or even an MCU entry, which could serve as some kind of basis for the campaign that the game will feature.
It appears that none of those will be the case, as the brand new Iron Man Video Game is set to feature an all-new, original story.
As reported by ComicBook.com, the developer behind the title, Oliver Proulx, noted that Marvel has been adamant about the freedom video game developers have when crafting these titles.
Proulx stated, “But [Marvel is] also really pushing us to make this Motive’s version of Iron Man. What is the new story that we can tell with Tony Stark? That is incredibly empowering for the team. Its very much about collaboration and working together on a weekly basis, pushing gideas, challenging each other…”
It will certainly be interesting to see how the Motive team takes this freedom, and just what original story could come out of that.
