Don Cheadle Discusses his MCU Future
He is set to be the star of his very own Disney+ series, but with not much known beyond that, Don Cheadle discusses his MCU future.
There have been so many characters to be fleshed out and explored in the decade that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been present and thriving.
The ever-expanding universe has put together some of the biggest and most impactful films and series that the genre has ever seen, and it is due to, first and foremost, the incredible characters that they implore.
Some of those characters, however, wait for their time to be the center of a project, with Phase Five set to bring some iconic Marvel names to the audiences in a way that they have previously never seen.
One of those is none other than James Rhodey, who is primed to be the focus of his very own Disney+ series, Armor Wars, and with a long tenure with Marvel behind him, and unknown ahead, Don Cheadle has recently discussed his MCU future.
As reported by ComicBook.com, Cheadle stated, “I just kinda take it as it lies, you know what I mean? [Armor Wars] is something that was pitched to me, was something they wanted to do, and it was interesting and sounded fun, an opportunity to actually do more with this character.”
Cheadle continued, “So yeah, I’m in. You know, at this point… we know there’s going to be more opportunities to do it, nobody’s [twisting] anybody’s arm. It’s like does this sound like something that would be fun? Is this something where we could really do something that is exciting and is interesting?”
Logn gone are the days of Marvel’s massive ten-year contracts, and present are the more collaborative efforts where MArvel is working with actors on a project-to-project basis, and that should equate to some very intestine stores moving forward.
