Anthony Mackie Asked if He’ll be in ‘Thunderbolts’
It is one of the most exciting projects of Phase Five, and with it set to host Bucky Barnes, Captain America Himself, Anthony Mackie, was asked if he’ll make an appearance in Thunderbolts.
There are two dates on the calendar that are always of the utmost importance to Marvel fans, and these two days are San Diego Comic-Con and D23.
These two massive events are always hosted to some of the biggest announcements that Marvel Studios has to offer, and they give fans a chance to catch up on what the Marvel Cinematic Universe has in store for the next couple of years.
This year, there was a plethora of announcements, as it just may have been the biggest year for news and unveilings in the decade-long history of the MCU.
One of the biggest, however, came in two parts; where San Diego Comic-Con officially announced it, and D23 verified just who would be present in it.
That project was Thunderbolts, Marvel’s team-up film of some of its biggest bad guys who work together to do something not so terrible, in an attempt to do right by their own wrongs.
The cast is stacked with some of the MCU’s most interesting villains, but there has been plenty of talk about who else could show up, and recently Captain America himself, Anthony Mackie, was asked if he’ll show up in Thunderbolts.
In an interview with Variety, Mackie stated, “I have no idea. You know who it works. They call you the week before and are like, ‘We own your ass. Come get in the movie.'”
Although this may not be the concrete answer that many fans had been hoping for, it does give context to the fact that Mackie’s appearance in the film is very much a possibility.
It will be interesting to see if he does show up, and more importantly, how that appearance interacts with his own solo project, Captain America: New World Order.
