Wolverine Return was Teased in Deadpool 2 Post-Credit Scene
With the announcement of the highly-anticipated third film and the return of Hugh Jackman, the franchise is finally making good on one promise, as the Wolverine return was teased in the Deadpool 2 post-credit scene.
There is little argument to be made that Wade Wilson is among the most beloved comic book characters to ever be adapted to the big screen.
A hero who is defined by his connection with the audience, fourth wall breaking, and overly violent actions, and has consistently been a fan-favorite Marvel anti-hero.
That continued when Fox brought him into their cinematic world of Marvel heroes, and he quickly became one of the most beloved.
Starting as a passion project for Hollywood megastar Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool very quickly became one of the most beloved adaptions ever made; something that was followed up by the immense success of the subsequent film.
Fans have been holding their breath for the announcement of progress made on the third film, but with San Diego Comic-Con and D23 all coming and going, there as few official updates to be found.
That is, until this week when Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter to finally announced Deadpool 3, its September release date, and the fact that none other than legend Hugh Jackman would be returning to the iconic role of Wolverine for the film.
and it was that final announcement that has allowed this franchise to make good on a long-held promise, as the Wolverine return was teased back in the Deadpool 2 post-credit scene.

The scene in question showed Deadpool traveling through the Fox Marvel Universe and cleaning up the timeline, as he refers to it.
The characters interact, and Wade tells Wolverine that at some point he will be asked to return and that he just needs to say yes; foreshadowing the character’s continued relationship in this highly-anticipated third entry.
