‘Werewolf by Night’ is MCU’s Most Violent Project Yet
There may not be a project that was more excited about, and with the eventual arrival in five days, Werewolf by Night is set to be the MCU’s most violent project yet.
When D23 arrived this year, there was a plethora of projects that fans had been eager to see discussed in front of the packed house a the weekend-long convention.
With so many projects discussed in detail at the event and exclusive images and footage shown to fans, there was one upcoming special that saw its trailer released to the public and promise something brand new to the MCU that had never been seen to that point.
The project is primed to introduce the supernatural world to the MCU and set fans on a journey into the uncharted territory that houses some of the scariest creatures in the Marvel pantheon.
With the film focusing on some of these more scary entities, there is no denying that Werewolf by Night is primed to be the MCU’s most violent project yet.
Speaking with the Phase Zero Podcast, the producer of the project, Brian Gay discussed this violent nature, and what fans can expect.
Gay stated, “These are vicious monster hunters. They’re not going to sit around and just like, have a nice dinner. We’re gonna get them out there. there going to be fighting. They gotta be hunting. And with that; the story requires that we sort of give you that scare, give you that element of what it is.”
Gay added, “I think the black and white is something that makes it special and makes it… I’ll call it just a little bit of an extra twist on top that makes you think, ‘Oh this is really different, and this is cool.'”
It is that same black and white style that makes the film able to be immensely violent, but not seem as disturbing, with the red blood not necessarily visible in a way that it would have been otherwise.
