Jon Favreau Rumored to be Returning to the MCU
He is among the most important people in the history of the Marvel Studios, as director Jon Favreau is rumored to be returning to the MCU for an upcoming gDisney+ series.
It is one of the most well-known tidbits about the Marvel Universe, that the entirety of the MCU as we know it began with one film: Iron Man.
The project was a risk in nearly every facet, and it had on its shoulders the hopes ad dreams of Marvel following a tumultuous 1990s that saw them bankrupt and devoid of nearly all of the rights of their most iconic and beloved heroes.
Iron Man was a moment in time that meant everything to Marvel Studios and their wishes for what a film universe could look like, and despite its massive importance, it was a franchise that took a plethora of risks.
Before Robert Downey Jr. was the man we all adore today, he was a troubled young person whose adolescence spent in the public eye had created a bit of a stigma towards his casting, and behind the camera was a man who was best known- to that point- for orchestrated a legendary Christmas film.
But it all just worked, and it appears as though that legendary director may be set to return to the world of Marvel, as Jon Favreau is rumored to be coming back to the MCU.

In a post by Giant Freaking Robot, it has been reported that “According to our trusted and proven sources, Jon Favreau is returning to Marvel Studios at the behest of MCU mastermind Kevin Feige, which means that this is likely a big project that needs a steady and reliable hand.”
There are no more as to what the project could possibly be, but with Marvel’s penchant for collaboration with very young and inexperienced directors, it would make sense to change things up, but also severely go against what has worked so well for Marvel
