Marvel’s ‘Vision’ Series Adds Todd Stashwick
The cast of Marvel Studios’ long-awaited Vision series is beginning to come together.
Just weeks after it was announced that James Spader would make his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) return as Ultron in the upcoming series, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Todd Stashwick has also signed on.
A spinoff of 2021’s WandaVision, Marvel’s Vision series (which is reportedly set to be titled Vision Quest), will follow the adventures of Paul Pettany’s White Vision.
How Vision Returned
The second version of Vision, known as White Vision, made his debut in Episode 8 of WandaVision. Created by S.W.O.R.D., the white android was programmed to enter Westview with a mission to eliminate Wanda.
Things took a turn, however, when White Vision confronted the Vision that Wanda had created using her magic. In an intense encounter, Wanda’s Vision transferred his memories to White Vision. Realizing his true identity, White Vision declared, “I am Vision,” before flying away.
A ‘Star Trek: Picard’ Reunion
After WandaVision creator Jac Schaffer stepped away from the series, Marvel turned to Star Trek: Picard showrunner Terry Matalas to head the Vision series. Now, Matalas will get a chance to reunite with Stashwick, who played Starfleet Captain Liam Shaw in the Star Trek series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stashwick will play an assassin hunting Vision for the technology used to create the second android.
While Disney has yet to announce a release date for the Vision series, shooting is expected to begin next year. Previously, it had been reported that the Marvel show would debut on Disney+ in 2026.
