‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Wraps Filming in Spain
Marvel’s First Family will finally enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) next year when The Fantastic Four: First Steps hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
Directed by Matt Shakman, the upcoming MCU film will star Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm/Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm/Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/ The Thing) as the iconic Marvel superhero team.
“Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ introduces Marvel’s First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet,” the film’s synopsis reads.
“Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”
‘Fantastic Four’ Production Has Gone Off Without a Hitch
While various production troubles have plagued other Marvel films, including Captain America: Brave New World and Blade, filming on The Fantastic Four: First Steps was seemingly a breeze.
The principal cast arrived at Pinewood Studios in London in July, and now filming has officially wrapped.
Leading up to the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the cast has had nothing but good things to say about each other and the Marvel universe as a whole.
Hopefully, the seamless production and chemistry between the cast will lead to the kind of Fantastic Four film that fans have long dreamed of.
