One Marvel Actress Says She Will Always Say “Yes” When Asked to Return

Actress Kat Dennings is back in the Marvel spotlight after reprising her role as Darcy Lewis in What If…?.

The Season 3 episode of the animated series, titled What If… Howard the Duck Got Hitched?, saw Darcy marry fan-favorite Howard the Duck and have a child.

If the actress gets her way, it will not be her last MCU appearance.

Darcy Lewis Has Proven to be Extremely Popular

Dennings originated the role of Darcy Lewis in 2011’s Thor, before returning for Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Love and Thunder, WandaVision, and all three seasons of What If…?.

In a recent interview with Collider, the actress admitted to being surprised and thrilled with how popular her character has become.

“I can’t believe that this character became this thing that’s gone over so many different things,” she said.

“It’s one of those luck of the draw things because that role originally was just supposed to be an assistant that was in a couple of scenes in Thor. And for whatever reason, they expanded it and expanded it and kept using me. Every time, I was like, ‘I can’t believe they want me back. This is the best!’”

Will Darcy Return?

With the future of the Thor franchise unclear at this time, it remains to be seen if or when we will see Darcy in the MCU again. Should Marvel come calling, however, Dennings says she will always say “yes.”

“So, every time they ask for me, I will always say yes, no matter what,” she explained. “I just still can’t believe it.”
