It Sounds Like Are Going to Get a Season 2 of ‘Hawkeye’
While Marvel Studios is largely known for canceling its streaming shows after just one season, it sounds like a fan-favorite series may get a Season 2 after all.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Marvel’s head of streaming, television, and animation, Brad Winderbaum, revealed that a Hawkeye Season 2 could be in the works.

“Hawkeye is another one that feels like you can make a second season of that show because it’s Christmas, because it’s Clint and Kate. You can kind of revisit it whenever, and we’re looking for opportunities to do that,” Winderbaum said.
‘Hawkeye’ Season 1
For those who don’t remember, Hawkeye continued Clint Barton’s story in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame. Still grieving Natasha Romanov’s death and horrified at the man he became after his family was snapped away by Thanos, the show finds seeking redemption.

In addition to diving deeper into Clint’s story, Hawkeye also introduced Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop to the MCU and saw the return of Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin.
Well-received by fans and critics alike, Hawkeye has long been considered a contender to receive a second season. Four years after the show’s debut, it looks like something is finally materializing.
Marvel’s New Television Strategy
As part of Marvel’s overhaul of television production, the studio has made it clear it wants to create serialized shows. The goal is to be able to release new seasons every year.

“But as we develop things for the future, I think they’re going to be designed to be multiple seasons, have more of a pattern, and be able to be released annually,” Winderbaum said.

By the sound of things, Marvel has identified Hawkeye as a series that could fit this new format. Hopefully, we learn more soon.
