Marvel Is Getting Ready For Its Biggest Issue Ever With ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ #1000
This September, the 1000th issue of Amazing Spider-Man will officially hit shelves, and Marvel is promising a groundbreaking issue.
The epic story will serve as a culmination of the tale that Joe Kelly and Pepe Larraz have been telling while also launching the iconic title into the next phase of their acclaimed run.

Also hitting shelves will be a series of special anniversary stories by a renowned lineup of creators, including John Romita Jr., Frank Miller, Peach Momoko, Stuart Immonen, Brian Michael Bendis, Dan Slott, J.M. DeMatteis, Patrick Gleason, Marcos Martin, and Alien: Earth’s Noah Hawley.
Here Comes Ravage
Ahead of the release of Amazing Spider-Man #1000, Marvel has shared a first look at John Romita Jr.’s main cover, which marks the first time he has collaborated with acclaimed artist Paolo Rivera.

The issue will also introduce a brand-new supervillain named Ravage.
“Writing Amazing Spider-Man #1000 has stirred up a lot of emotions for me, but gratitude is chief among them,” Kelly shared. “It’s a true honor to have the opportunity to contribute to Spidey’s legacy with a huge milestone like this. And special bonus – we get to introduce a new villain?! Amazing. Ravage is layered and complex and mysterious, and I can’t wait to unleash him on the readers with this monumental issue!”
Teased as Peter Parker’s most frightening villain in decades, Marvel is hinting that Ravage may change everything.
